Yeah, but it is geared towards 6th grade girls going into adolescence.  July Blume was a pretty major player in elementary/middle school literature, even if not for this specific book.

What I do remember is all the books we read in 7th grade at made the top 25 for books challenged/banned from school libraries and a few parents were really upset.
