This is just breaking so I don’t know the details.  But I am shocked.

Me too. Gotta believe this was Fangio's idea and not Miami's.

Seems like Fangio is bolting for the open DC spot in Philly.

Some second-hand account on reddit was claiming the only reason he didn't take that job last year was because PHI thought their DC Gannon was going to stay.  After he decided to take the ARI job, the Eagles were caught on the back foot.

Fangio asked out. Certain players didn't care for Fangio and voiced that in exit interviews. Remember ... it's not like he cam in all excited to be here. He'd already been in Philly if not for the Arizona-Philly tampering issues.

I think Fangio did a good job and I'm sad to see him go.

I have mixed feelings about this - he was decent, although I still think we played too much zone given our personnel. That said, I don't think we ever saw the best our defense could be given our injuries.

If he does go to the Eagles it makes a whole lot of sense after their difficulties at DC this season. I wish him the best there.

Seems like Fangio wanted to be closer to family in Philly.  However, there seem to be a lot of back stories floating around about how he didn't get along with players, and some using him as the scapegoat for why the Dolphins didn't go further in the playoffs.  That's BS!  And it's low class to stab the guy in the back on the way out the door; it seems to be the modus operandi of Grier to deflect any criticism of himself.

The Dolphins offense didn't put points on the board, that's why they lost big games.

I’m surprised by this considering the defense did well second half consider the injuries and all that but it sounds like there were some personality conflicts,Fangio is pretty old school when compared to McDaniel and maybe they didn’t click certainly some players had some issues with him I’m wondering if Ramsey and a few other guys wanted key assignments…idk I hope hey can find someone to build on but there’s some big questions now with Chubb and Phillips both injured that was supposed to an area of lesser concern and we have a lot of capital invested there. I don’t blame Vic for bouncing with all that either….

I was pretty frustrated by the defense whenever the offense wasn't putting up 30.
So I'm not too sad to see Fangio go.
