Jaguars trade for Mac Jones

A poor man's Tim Tebow.

He got a raw deal.

He took the Patriots to the playoffs his first season.

He was within two flagrantly missed calls of making them his second season (The LV non-touchdown catch by Cole and the pass interference no-call on the Dolphins against the Bears).
And that is being generous.

He had no talent his third season.

Obviously they must be intending to use him as a backup.

He and Skylar have each thrown playoff touchdown passes in their rookie seasons.

I think he needs a fresh start.  He might just be a bum, but he seemed shaken and out of sorts and was scapegoated.  That team didn't seem to have his back for whatever reason.

This is good for him. He's from Jacksonville and Doug Pederson has a lot of experience developing back-ups. Probably the best situation he could be in right now.

Mac Jones, and other Alabama QB's, come out of college mostly over rated.  They are surrounded by the best college football players (offense and defense), and therefore rarely have to prove themselves in college.

He's a better player than he has shown.  He'll be better in a new location with a new team and no pressure to be Tom Brady's replacement. 
When Lawrence gets hurt (yes, WHEN, not "if"), Jones will step in and be a hero and people will say "why didn't he play like this in new England?"

Mac Jones is not the next Patrick Mahomes.  He might be the next Derek Carr...?
