THE ASSCLOWN AWARD

« on: November 28, 2024, 11:37:49 pm »

Lots to pick from

The defense was atrocious.  The offense was bad.  Even the special teams sucked

Tua.  I saw him miss several open receivers.

As mentioned in the opening post, lots to pick apart.

Special teams dug us a hole before we could even get started.

The missed tackles by the defense was atrocious. You just know it's not gonna be your night when Christopher Brooks rips an 18 yard rush on his very first carry for them.

Too many penalties, too many mistakes. Yet again on the big stage, we are exposed as physically and mentally soft.

McDaniel owns it this week.

I'm giving it to special teams, particularly Washington.  The defense had overcome the first battle and gotten off the field and he muffed the punt.  The end result, the defense had to come right back on the field and Green Bay scored easily with the momentum boost.

That one play right there set the tone for the entire game

That one play right there set the tone for the entire game

Which accounted for exactly a 0-7 deficit early in the 1st quarter.

Our "high-powered, elite" offense couldn't overcome that, let alone what else accumulated during the game. Our defense couldn't seem to stick a tackle when it counted.

It's too easy to blame Malik "muff-diver" Washington, but that doesn't account for the rest of the game. It was a total team failure right from the start.

Washington.  You can't put your team in the hole that early in the game against a top notch opponent on the road.

I agree with Washington.

The defense came out and made a great stop to start the game and then we directly gave away 7 points.

It's just a lot to ask.  There are lots of other things that didn't go well, but it was such a costly error and one that we never were able to make up for.

Washington also had exactly zero of the twenty missed tackles during the game. Zero penalties too.

It was a total team failure, all night. This wasn't a one incident deal that cost us the game.

It's a lazy call to pin it on him. It's also the wrong call.
