Defense

HM - McDaniel - wasted time outs nearly cost Miami the game, Washington's long kick return bailed them out.

From the NFL highlights package:

Wilson and Adams had a very good day for the Jets: and both Ramsey and Kohu had a very bad day playing for us.

I'm not sure how much of this can be put down to system. Adams ripped off big gains against Kohu, one where he looked to be playing zone and leaving him to fresh air where he thought there was a safety (who either wasn't there or a lot further back), and a bizarre play where he looked to blitz and either changed his mind or was too slow and it took himself completely out of the play. He was just flat out beat one-on-one for the TD play.

Ramsey was playing way-off Wilson which gave him some easy completions for first downs, and still got beaten really badly during another couple of plays.

I'm tempted just to split it between Ramsey and Kohu, but outside of them our pass defense zoning is still terrible, as is our tackling. Weaver gets it this week.

I like the guy but Ramsey was the worst for me. He is the highest paid defensive player because he is supposed to be an impact player. He was not a factor.
