THE ASSCLOWN AWARD

« on: December 18, 2024, 11:46:49 pm »

Twitter post:  It's time for me for the go coach.

Tyreek, it was great to have you here.  You gave us two playoff berths.

I wonder what we can get for him

I saw this on Facebook and it did not surprise me one bit.

The tweet was:
"It’s time for me to go coach"

You are reading it as:
"It’s time for me to leave, coach McDaniel"

However, it could just as well mean:
"It’s time for me to go be a head coach"

Given the recent high-profile coaching hires, this is an overreaction.  If Tyreek had said "It's time for me to go play soccer" after Mbappe was offered $1B to play 1 year in Saudi Arabia, that does not mean he wants out from the Dolphins.

Hill is a professional twitter troll anyway, so I wouldn't read too much into this.

Didn't the Dolphins just give him a boat load of money for absolutely no reason.

Either of these could make sense, but I also read it a third way:

"I'm ready to let loose -- dial up plays for me, coach!"

Both of Spider’s examples equate to it is time to leave the Dolphins.Dave’s example doesn’t seem likely but I saw it also. I have slowly been less and less enamored with him as the season has gone on.

The second only equates to leaving the Dolphins if you believe Hill's sincere intention is to immediately become a coach at age 30.

His quote is it is time for me to go coach. Not it will be time for me to go coach after my playing days are done.  You have already stretched it to the limit.

When asked today Hill said he is not seeking a trade.

"What I meant was, 'When I say it's time for me to go coach, meaning that when you see guys like Teddy Bridgewater, you see guys like Michael Vick getting his head coaching job, it's like, bro, I want to be a coach also when I'm done playing,'' Hill said. "You know what I'm saying? So that's all I meant by it."

"I didn't mean by I want to get traded or I want to leave Miami," Hill said. "I'm in a great situation here. I love the guys here. I love this organization. They obviously changed me and my family's life, you know what I'm saying, forever. So I'm in a great spot, man. I'm happy. I wish we were playing better ball, but at the end of the day, like I feel like when I tweet something, it's not always about football.

They gave him the extra money because wideouts can be divas and sometimes it’s best to keep them happy.

Yup that’s how I read it from the beginning. He’s said he was going to retire after the contract expires and he’s thinking about what he wants to do next. Truthfully I’m glad he’s interested in coaching instead of color commentary or analysis. Last thing we need is someone else with future CTE calling the broadcast.

Both of Spider’s examples equate to it is time to leave the Dolphins.Dave’s example doesn’t seem likely but I saw it also. I have slowly been less and less enamored with him as the season has gone on.

Eh the dude is a bit of case but  he’s fine. The incident before the Jags game set a bad tone for the year but that’s on the cops more than anything.

If Tua didn’t get injured I guarantee he’s over a 1k yards again and other teams have figured out how to limit him with this two high safety shit and the league nerfed us with the “emphasis” on pre snap motion penalties, and that’s been McDaniel’s failure to adjust and get him properly involved. He’s still our leading receiver iirc.

Apparently I "stretched" it so far that it became the literal direct truth!

Gonna pat myself on the back for calling this one at jump:

We gave him a shitload of money, and he's rewarded us with the worst full season of his career.

So, after a woeful game, right after MM said that Tyreek was as much to blame for Tua's interceptions...

https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/mike-mcdaniel-both-tua-tagovailoa-and-tyreek-hill-take-blame-for-three-interceptions

Tyreek then came up with this little gem:

You can put up with a WR's Diva antics when they deliver. Lack of a comma, mistake or not, this is a whole pile of horseshit that should not have been said.

It's about time Tyreek ate a plate of humble pie, and STFU until he does something on the field this year to justify the huge amounts of cash we dumped into his bank account after last offseason. It's one thing to have fun, but this wasn't any misunderstanding. He was pissing in the pocket of his employer because he thinks he can get away with it.

Have you seen the Police officer's bodycam footage of the incident? He was being a complete asshole to them.

^^^ He was ignoring the officers requests. Most people get "detained" and vehicles searched when that happens. Watch On Patrol Live one weekend and see how many times it happens to people of all races. It amazes me how many people these days don't understand the officer is in charge of the situation. Of course it amazes me how many people claim to be sovereign citizens too but that's a whole other level of crazy.
