Back to Tyreek...

Has he had surgery yet on what he said after the season was a broken wrist?

Or has he been too busy playing Fortnite to get around to it?

Or too busy attending the trial about allegedly breaking the leg of an Only Fans model:

Reminds me of when Ocho Cinco claimed he was a faster swimmer than Mark Phillips.

I have to believe the Lyles thing is a publicity stunt. No one in their right mind thinks Tyreek could beat him.

To be fair he doesn't need to beat him just be close enough to make it competitive and I'm not sure that Tyreek isn't capable of that. I think the biggest hurdle for Tyreek will be the start, once they both get moving Tyreek will probably stay reasonably close.

It looks like he may have got around to that surgery.

He's wearing a pretty significant cast while recording a promotion for a store appearance (although some are questioning it, given his prior history of trolling).

I think we've discussed it already but yesterday Joe Rose confirmed he was directly told that Tyreek got Wes Welker fired. Tyreek doesn't appreciate being held accountable. I'm not sure how this fits into Mike's supposed new enforcement of rules. In my opinion all this will do is enable Tyreek to be worse.

I call BS but McDaniels said it wasn't the reason. I trust Joe Rose to be more truthful than McDaniel who is notorious for protecting his players.

Speaking at the NFL scouting combine on Tuesday morning, McDaniel clarified that wasn’t the case.

“I could see why one could come to that conclusion. However, it wasn’t at all,” McDaniel said.

He actually spoke highly of the position coach he fired, in favor of Robert Prince, who will now coach wide receivers after his stint with the Dallas Cowboys.

“In coaching, especially, I have a high regard for Wes Welker,” McDaniel said. “Generally, in my position, I have to do the hard thing, which is, in this case, is look past the relationship. And for me, I take the job and the responsibility of being a head coach super serious. And I don’t play with people’s livelihoods.”

Welker had been on McDaniel’s Dolphins staffs since he first took over in 2022. He also was wide receivers coach with the San Francisco 49ers for the three previous seasons, from 2019 through 2021, when McDaniel served as run game coordinator and, eventually, offensive coordinator.

“For me, it’s very important that I outline specifically what I’m looking for on the front end with the coach, and in certain situations, those things can’t be delivered upon,” McDaniel said. “So who else is going to do the hard but right thing? That’s my job, but it was motivated in things that were much beyond what happened with Tyreek at the end of the season.”

Hill and Walker are the exact opposite.  Welker is a decent but not great athlete who was successful by working harder than everyone else.  Hill is naturally gifted but lazy and selfish.

Not surprised they didn't mesh.

He allegedly broke her leg??   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

She looks like she could break HIS leg, not to mention every other bone in his body.

McDaniel has confirmed that Tyreek had surgery on his wrist. It wasn't broken, but was ligament damage, and there was no risk of any further damage while he was still playing last season.

It's nice of him to wait almost 2 months after the season to get surgery. They were saying last night he will now miss part of the season.

No point in screwing up your vacation with rehab when you can use it as an excuse to miss training camp.

It mightn't matter so much to us either if we end up trading him.

After the disaster if his 2024 season, missing training camp would be just another reason to ship his attitude outta the building and his big salary off the books.

Matters a lot.  If he can't pass a physical he doesn't have much trade value.
