I have been watching a lot of old MNF games and various documentaries about teams during certain years/era, a lot of games are available on YT and elsewhere so I was thinking of watching as many Dolphins classics as possible now that the season is over. What are some recommendations that I should look for?

I’ll start with the 85 MNF game against the bears but I’ve seen that a few times

What are some classic games that you guys remember ( or heard about (

The first that comes to mind is the 1990 season wild card game against the Chiefs.

Dan Marino at his peak, two teams that seemed to be on the verge of being real contenders, the Marks brothers. The old ABC MNF commentators of Gifford, Dierdorf & Michaels.

Ps. Warning - this footage does make Sammie Smith look disturbingly good.

Just don't watch the infamous Chargers game.  I re-watched that last year and got just as upset as I did watching it live when it happened.  I was pissed off for a couple days.

Another classic was the 1993 Thanksgiving Miracle at Dallas (thank you Leon Lett):

I think you should really look backwards to find anything before you really remember. Look for old Csonka, Morris,  and Kiick. I don't know your age but look for the Killer B's if you don't remember them. Check out the very early Marino days. I would personally just look without knowing the specific game outcome.

One of the best games I've ever seen in person was Sun, Dec 4, 2005 vs Buffalo Bills. I think several guys on TDMMC were there too. The Bills were ahead 23-3 in the 4th quarter against the Dolphins, and then Sage Rosenfels came in for Gus Ferotte.  Chris Chambers had a big 4th quarter to lead us (238 Yards and 1 TD) Ricky Williams  had a TD and Ronnie Brown caught a TD. It was a crazy exciting game for the few of us who stayed to see it.

I was at this game.  I bought a ticket and drove down from Orange City because the game was in danger of being blacked out.   The crowd went buckwild when that last second field goal came up short.  Afterwards, they put the Kool And The Gang hit song on and everyone was dancing and singing "Celebrate Good Times Come On!!"

It's worth it just for the confused look on BB's face every time we scored with the Wildcat!  Grin Tongue

An even better sight was the tv coverage of Pats fans exiting en masse early in the 4th quarter.

What a game. Really wish Dan could have got one. Thanks for the link I’ve always heard about this game but never watched.

Thanks for everyone who replied! I’m working on watching them all.

There was a Sunday night game vs the Broncos where Fiedler led a gutsy fourth quarter comeback, that one means a lot to me because I was there but I can’t find a copy of it

Too bad that was the last good memory of that season.   Because it was all downhill from there.
