I disagree. I grew up watching people get hit. It serves a purpose.

I can't remember who it was but I recently saw an interview where the pitcher said he hit people instead of intentional walking. 1 pitch instead of 4 bad throws. It was Randy Johnson, Maddux, or someone from that era. Heck ... it could've even been Nolan Ryan who said it as I've seen interviews with all of them in recent months.

A batter smashing a bat into a pitchers skull also serves a purpose, neither should be allowed or both should be allowed.

I've never seen anyone hit someone in the head on purpose.

Hoodie, I think your penalty for intentional HBP is just slightly too harsh for something that is a judgement call from the officials.  Compare to targeting in football.

I would probably keep the existing rules for unintentional HBP and use your unintentional HBP rules for intentional HBP, but with an added suspension mirroring the length of PED violations.
