I agree with a lot of what you said, but I'm not sure who's the slave in this relationship.  I mean, I walk after my dachshunds, picking up her crap.  I bet that didn't happen in the "Old South".

All indoor pets with fur, and even many without fur, suck.  

Pets that are kept exclusively outdoors don't suck quite as much.  At least their owners don't have live in odoriferous denial.
