I spent from 10 AM to 1045 AM yesterday on my cellphone,housephone, and internet trying to help my girlfriend land tickets for when oprah winfrey comes to town on 2/25.  The tickets sold out in 2 minutes, and now there are assholes in every other state but SC selling them on ebay from 500 to 1200(!). I hope they all catch an STD for their greedy ass nature.  I remember a time when ebay was a place to get a deal, not get F*CKED.  I could understand other states getting involved if it were a NATIONALLY TELEVISED EVENT(which its NOT), or even the show where she gives away all the free sh!t, but its not either, so if I had to guess all these scumbag scalpers decided to take advantage of the situation.  Ah I feel better now.

a hint for all of you who use ticketmaster. 

Call a ticketmaster number out of your area.

When tickets go on sale, it gets flooded with calls and the local lines will be busy.  If you were to call a ticketmaster in Boise, Idaho and ask for tickets to your event, you'd have got right thru and got your tickets.

I have done this to buy concert tickets for concerts in Philly. I have called a ticketmaster in Dallas, and gotten the tickets.
