Edge could be on the move.
You have "protection problems".  Roll Eyes
...and your kicker is a drunk.

What do you do?

1.) sign edge - he's been the cornerstone of the offense for years, a stud RB doesn't come along every day.
2.) cut the drunk - he's overpaid and misses critical kicks.
3.) Trade Peyton Manning - his value is at its maximum right now.  you can get 3 boatloads of draft picks for him and build an even bigger empire.
4.) re-sign Reggie Wayne
5.) extend Freeney to a lifetime extension.

Trade Peyton Manning?

I'd like to hear a more detailed reasoning behind this instaed of "you can get boat loads of draft picks".

No team has enough draft picks to make trading Manning worth it.

Why bother keeping Wayne if you got rid of Manning is a pretty important question to ask also.

Here's what I do.

Let Edge go. You South Fla guys just love to hang onto those Cane's don't ya? Running Backs are a dime a dozen and get injured frequently. Let Edge go before you get too cap strapped with him (he will want money) and draft a new RB.

Resign Wayne

Don't worry about the O-line. These "protection problems" are an excuse people are giving because Indy got dominated by the blitz in the playoffs. Indy only gave up a league low 20 sacks all year.

Convince Dungy to cut Mannings Audibles.

If we have any money (man what kind of GM am I, I don't even know the cap status) look for veteran free agent help on defense.

1 - I make that punk Manning rework his deal because Indy will never add the missing pieces with him hogging all the riches. After that maybe they can go shopping.

2 - Dangle Edge in front of the Broncos. They've been eyeing Ricky, so they might be interested in Edge. Problem is Edge wants Edge money, & Ricky doesn't care. Put him on the block, see what you can get for him. But dont pay overpay for Edge.

3 - Resign Wayne

4 - Resign Makoa Freitas

5 - Trade Joseph Jefferson & try to upgrade at that position (CB)

6 - Resign Pyatt (WR)

7 - Trade Rocky Calmus --- try to get bigger on D. That small speed unit stuff was cute for awhile, but look what it did to you in the playoffs. You got run over.

I agree, but I don't see it happening.  I'm guessing the salary cap consequences of trading Manning are asstronomical - so he holds all the cards for a while.
