When I first met my wife we were both young and partied alot. In fact, she partied more than me back then. She's also the type of girl that would go with me or a big group to a strip club and have a great time. She's never been the jealous type. Not to get too personal, but we also own a very small porn collection.

Lately, however, she's become much more sensitive about internet porn in particular. And this started month before she was pregnant.

We always used to joke that it was only a matter of time before she walked in on my doing the deed. It hasn't happened yet thank God. However, she recently came across a soiled towel as well as a not so well hidden bottle of lotion.

I download my fair share of porn (gotta love bit torrent) and I also work at home during the day and am up late at night long after she's gone to bed. Basically, I probably have more ample opportunities than most.

Her newfound angst begs the question; is there such a thing as too much porn? At what point have I crossed the line from "Everyguy does it" to "Creepy Jerkaholic"?

Porn can be an addiction, just like everything else.  I think that when porn starts compromising other aspects of your life, then it's a problem...otherwise, whack-away.

As someone that is fighting my online porn addiction now, nope hard drive space did a nice job of slowing my down.

Your wife being pregnant might have something to do with it.

I saw some article that suggested that the internet generation is becoming addicted to porn, through sheer ease of access.

Back in the 80s, you had to at least go through some small amount of social discomfort to acquire your goods; a trip to the seedy adult store, or asking some convenience store clerk for a coughHustlercoughcough.  Now, you can sit in the privacy (ahem) of your own home and download more porn that you would ever watch.

I, personally, just try to make sure that I don't get to the point of needing it... I just verify every once in a while that my imagination is still good enough to accomplish the task.

Unlike the guys, you are encouraged to elaborate as much as you want!  Evil

I think if you no longer find real women attractive, you've crossed the line and should probably stop. Some guys (let's face it, it's mostly guys) who watch porn get so into it that they stop being interested in their girlfriends or wives. That's a problem.

Ditto.  Maybe your wife's scared, with her figure changing because of the pregnancy, that this will happen to you.

crazy_scar - ALL women claim to not have a problem with things of adult nature when a relationship starts.  As time goes on certain things start to melt away; like the times she used to "get a kick" out of going to strip clubs with friends, etc.

The extent of my "porn" was a couple older 80's movies and a subscription to Playboy.  When we were "just dating" she thought that Playboy was quite normal.  By the time we lived together?  Yep, time for that subscription to end.

I think that most women, no matter how liberal they seem, don't want their man to be attracted to ANY other naked body than their's.

It used to be that men hid their porn between the mattress and box spring.  Now we just need to click clear our internet history.

I think there's very easily such a thing as too much porn. I won't elaborate on that much. There just is.

Here's a good question for all.  Would having an online relationship with another woman be considered cheating on your wife/girlfriend as long as you don't meet up with that other woman physically?

Any thoughts?
