I'm back on the Brodie Croyle train. A few months back, I was all about Croyle. Then I started to get high hopes about Cutler. Since Cutler is going to get drafted before we have a chance at him, I'd like to see us address other needs in round 1, and take Croyle in round 2 (hopefully we can). I've actually heard Croyle may climb up into round 1, but hope we can get him in rd 2.

For those of you unfamiliar with him, watch him in the game shown here, and you will develop a pretty high opinion of him...

I don't want to draft a QB for the sake of drafting a QB and I think that is exactly what we would be doing if we took Croyle in round 2. The guy won't be ready to play next year and has a terrible history with injuries. We already had an injury prone QB (see Fiedler) and we don't have much success with backups when they come in to start.

God help us if Croyle is our answer at QB.

Don't think for a second that getting Cutler is impossible.  It's actually looking more and more like we may have a chance.  If the Jets sign Ramsey and the Lions are serious about putting their faith back in Harrington or getting Brees then Cutler could definitely fall.

They were talkign about this on NFL Radio today. They seem to thinkt hat the raiders may get tempted to grab him if he's still there. And if not, the Ravens will definitely grab him. Getting Cutler is still going to involve trading up, IMO.

I think the Raven will go after a RB and the Radiers have always loved D with a Vet QB I see them going after AJ hawk or J williams or huff. I would love up to Get Croyle or Cutler but they would have to wait in the wings for 2 years for us to make a real run at the SB this year

Croyle can be had in the second round.  If that's the case,  I would consider a top notch DB or OL at #16.   I would also get a veteran who would be an upgrade over disGUSting.

Brodie had a good combine, no real signs of those injuries nagging him, so I say he's worth a shot in the second round if he's there.

If we sign Brees, I don't think we draft a QB, I think we sign a reliable FA veteran. Brees is 26..a long term solution. No need to draft a QB to back him up.

I would like to get our QB before the draft so we can focus on OL/CB/LB. If not, I would like Croyle in the second round.

I agree if we get Brees or Culpepper.... but if we don't, and we draft someone, I would pick up Favre or McNair.
