Rise from your grave!

I was searching for some other posts and I found this discussion entertaining.  Marshall Faulk got in on his first ballot, so Maine, it took 8 years, but you've earned an "I told you so."

Warner's career path after this thread was... unexpected.

It seems like Jason Taylor will get in.  Thomas will not.

Real shame about Thomas. He is the epitome of work ethic, and had such good numbers for longer than many people realize. -EK

Holy grave digging!  LOL!

I hope you mean "I told you so" meaning I was right!

Looking around the league, at players right now:

Brett Favre is a lock.
Emmitt Smith is a lock (and should be gone).
Marshall Faulk is a lock.
Jerry Rice.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day, huh?  Wink

WOW, Spider...this was some fine digging, my friend!

Yeah, I mean that you've earned the right to tell me I told you so.

Faulk didn't do anything amazing after this thread (unlike Warner) and he still got in on his first ballot, as you predicted he would.

2001 was his last truly GREAT season, however he was a devastating back in 2002 as well.  He was showing some real slow down signs in 2003, if I remember correctly?  But he had punched his ticket by then.  The man was amazing, a game changer.  Warner was amazing, but he also has Marshall, Holt and Bruce (and to a lesser extent some real good fringe guys like Az-Zahir Hakim and Proehl) to go along with a rock-star offensive line.

Don't get me wrong on Warner.  He went to Arizona and showed that he was a stud by doing it all over again with no running attack, two good WR and no line to speak of.  But those days in StL were...well...I don't know if we will ever see anything like that again on offense any time soon.  Not THAT much fire power.  That was fun to watch.

He was in a fantasy football league some years ago.  Then he had a bunch of other usernames, like IceHouse Football.  I don't know what happened to him.  I liked that guy.  He made me laugh with his smugness.

Me and a friend of mine debate Warner and the Hall of Fame all the time. I say its a YES without a question. My friend argues no.

The man played in 3 super bowls. Won one. Left the field in another with a lead and lost to a superior Pitt team that made a late drive. He has the stats. Threw for 32,000+ yards. Has almost 100 more TD's than INT's. I think Warner gets in. if Jim Kelly found a way in then Warner gets in.

No doubt, he should get in. Not sure he is 1st ballot, but he will get in.

Yes ... Me too.

How many other QBs, if any, have played in the Super Bowl for two teams?

Craig Morton is the only other QB to "start" for 2 different teams I believe. With Dallas and with Denver.
