An issue that's being looked at in the new Owners Meeting is the possibility of allowing microphones in the helmet of the defensive captain (like the QB gets on offense) to help get plays in and out and limit the reading of hand signals to the sideline.

Also, new rules are being added to allow for more scoring and offensive production, so supporters say that this addition may add some balance to the defensive side.

Thoughts?

Mic in helmets,  sure why not.

One thing I'm not getting though is they've already implemented alot of ticky-tac  penalties (which sucks) to improve scoring.  How much more can they do?  What do they want,  arena football scores?  Seems as if it's getting harder and harder to play "D" these days...man.   Angry

Wait -

Not to be the technical a-hole of the group, but...

Do you mean microphones (acoustic input device so the players can talk to the coaches) or speakers (acoustical output devices so the coaches can talk to the players)?

Do QB's have mics, or just speakers?

To stay on topic, I don't see why everyone shouldn't have speakers.  Imagine if they could run no-huddle all the time cause the coach could call the play to all the players as they're lining up...

It's fair that if the QB gets a mic in his helmet, one of the defensive players should too.
