Well, not a big surprise, it was a 50/50 chance afterall. I'm glad we got it, though. The more nationally televised games for us the better.

Here's the million dollar question.

Are you going to chicken out and not watch the game due to T-day plans or will you step up and make sure everyone knows anything involving you either includes a TV or is planned around the game?

But will last until around 3:30 when wives, girlfirends, etc will be expecting people to get dressed, drive somewhere, etc. That's why I put it out there. This game is going to take away about 3-4 hours right smack in the middle of the day. I know I'm not leaving the TV.

My family all lives pretty nearby, so regardless of where we are eating, I can be there in about 10 minutes. I can shower and get dressed at halftime. I actually think Thanksgiving may be at my house this year. If thats the case, no issues at all  Smiley

Where the hell are they expecting you to go? Everything is pretty much shut down on thanksgiving. My wife knows better than to try to pull any crap on thanksgiving.

Typically, on thanksgiving, people get together for a big dinner.  This sometimes requires driving from your own house to someone else's...

Considering my family eats early in the afternoon, like around 2 or so, I will be enjoying my turkey dinner on a TV tray in the den.

My family is well aware that when the Dolphins are on TV, you leave me the hell alone.

Same thing goes for my family.  When the Dolphins are on: don't call, don't write, don't fax, don't e-mail, don't knock, don't send Western Union, no carrier pigeons, or even singing telegrams.  I get unbelievably intense during games, and sometimes I'm drunk before kickoff (nine times out of ten it's the Jets game).

however, the lions typically have the 12:30 game - well before turkey

My family usually eats Thanksgiving dinner around 12:30-1:30.  Guess, I'll be eating in the den in front of the TV.
