I would like to attend a Super Bowl once, regardless of what teams are playing.

...only in a dream.

Tickets all sold out to celebrities who could give a sh*t,  the super rich (*see celebrity), every sportshole in the business,  and the common fan usually gets it right in the donut hole.

Notice Super Bowls are unusually quiet compared to playoff games?  Must be me.   Huh

Yeah i'd definitely go, but what Thundergod's sayin is true i heard it's next to impossible to get tickets for the Superbowl, and coming from abroad surely won't help.

When Miami get's there i'll be at it, i'm already gettin prices together for this January, even though it might be a bit ambitious! If not, the Superbowl Themed Nights in Dublin have been excellent so far, thats not a bad alternative!

There's a site out there where you can purchase the option to buy face value tickets to any event, including the super bowl.  at the end of last season, i could have purchased options for the dolphins in super bowl 41 for $32 - no those same options are close to $300.  If you buy these options, and your team gets to the dance, you have the option to cash these options in to purchase tickets at face value.

In addition, I believe they allow 20,000 tickets to the fans (typically limited to season ticket holders) of each team playing in the game.  As I understand it, they hold a drawing for the season ticket holders who pay in advance, and its up to the luck of the draw.

Brian thanks very much man, i've got an uncle who lives in Richmond VA that i was gonna get in touch with to try get me some tickets, he's pretty well connected over there and i thought he might be able to help me. But your idea sounds much more helpful, i'll be sure to start lookin around!

So, realistically, do you think the Dolphins have a chance at gettin there this year?

I would be in Miami if the Dolphins make it to the Super Bowl, but would not blow money attending the game.  Instead, I would go to the Ale House where it's $50 per seat, open bar, and an all-you-can eat buffet.   Now, why would I be in Miami?  So when the Dolphins win, I can be part of the celebration in the streets!!!

I wouldn't want to go. That is one sporting event I would not want to go to.

IMO, it's more of a corporate function than a football game. Crowd seems real subdued. I would do what I could to go to the AFC Championship game, but not the Super Bowl. I'll watch that at home.

Not true about this most recent Super Bowl.  The crowd seemed very Pro-Pittsburgh.

That's one thing about the league I'd like to see changed:  The SuperBowl should be attended by fans of teams involved.  ...I'd even like to see them have a no scalping policy to keep the real fans in the seats.

I'd mortgage the farm but I'd be there.  If we ever get back in my lifetime, I will experience as much as the hoopla and BS the week has to offer.  I just hope it isn't in Detroit or something!  Undecided

I will definitely go.  I would take a hit buying from a broker unless I got lucky and won the NFL or Dolphins lottery deal.  I figure a Super Bowl with my team in it could be a once in a lifetime deal.  Well, as far as one that I could actually attend.  I was 6 when they went undefeated.  I was a broke High School kid when they went in the early 80's.

If you want the Super Bowl to include fans of the team then get off your arse and go when the Dolphins make it  Grin.  The NFL will never change the ticket policy because of the politics.  Plus, they have to give players and coaches an allotment.

I think you have to at least TRY and get tickets.  Or at least go to the city to watch the game.  I lived in San Diego when the Raiders and Bucs and just being downtown with all the hype was a blast.  Not to mention if your team wins!
