Sure, this makes sense... Miami wants to make sure the league doesn't drag it's feet on the process, and they want to recuperate any trade value Ricky has, in time to use that trade value in the draft.
I'm not sure that "wanting" the process to be expedited will result in a quicker result or not, but it does show me that Saban is making sure that all the little details are taken care of.
I don't think Ricky is going to be traded, but they're trying to get it resolved before the draft so they can see if they'll have to take a running back or not.
