I HATE YOU BRETT FAVRE!!! Angry Angry Angry Angry

The headline on NFL.com on Friday Night / Saturday Morning read the following:

Favre to announce his plans Saturday Morning

Then, this happens:

No change. I don't know, once again

If it's not 100% crystal clear now that Favre is jerking the Packers around for more money and a big final contract, I don't know what is.  I would have cut that SOB 3 months ago from my roster.  Everyone's so scared of doing something about it, I don't know why.

Because Brett Favre to Green Bay is Dan Marino to Miami.  Whoever flat out cuts him is going to face a PR firestorm.  I say, the hell with that.  Do what's best for the team.  Right now, it's time to tear this team down and start all over again.

I used to hold Brett Favre in high regard, but not anymore.  This is ridiculous.  He needs to just go ahead and retire, he's starting to or already has pissed off a lot of the Green Bay faithful.

The guy is a complete asshole. The packers have made it evidently clear thier not going to spend lavishly in free agency to satisfy favre. The packers are going to rebuild thru the draft. Favre is making the packers organization look like a bunch of spineless pussies. One guy shouldnt control the organization. I dont care how much of a PR disaster it would become for the packers. Newsflash, the fans will eventually get over it. If joe montana, jerry rice, troy aikman, and emmitt smith can be shown the door what makes favre's any different?

If this were T.O. the media would be hammering this guy relentlessly. Favre is a hypocrite, and selfish. I hope favre throw's 40 INT'S next year, i hope javon walker gets traded to another team, gets his money and has the best season of his career. Fuck you favre retire, and get the hell out of our lives. You're a washed up has-been.

I'm just curious how many threads it takes a non-Packers chat board to say "I hate Brett Favre! He Sucks...Boo!!"

Maybe Joe is lobbying for an Anti-NFL chat to go with the Anti-Phins chat... After all, there is so much complaining to do, and so little room to do it in.  Roll Eyes

Well, he held a press conference, so it was news-worth.  I provided a link and everything.

Extra, extra, read all about it!  Nothing's changed, so let's bitch some more! Wink

(You know I'm just busting your chops, Joe, but you did bust mine for being optimistic in the anti-fins...so bugger off!)

You know, if Favre is taking this long to decide, clearly he doesn't have the fire in him anymore to play, and should hang it up.  If there's nothing telling you "of course I'm coming back" then you're clearly just jerking it around.

Seems like you're done, but you're trying to convince yourself to stay, Brett.

Do yourself a favor and hang it up while your legacy is still semi-decent.

I agree exactly with Brian. I don't quite understand how jtex feels this is a money issue. I think Favre would like to play, but the fire he has felt in the past is gone. The man is struggling with trying to walk away from the game, but he should definitely do so.
