The Dolphins trade down with the Colts, and also pick up a second round pick.

About Cromartie.... he had a breakout season in 2004, but never really established himself as an elite corner (although I'm sure he would've if he had not gotten injured in 2005 or opted to stay in 2006).

Although he's obviously got the tools to play in the NFL, anyone can have a few good workout sessions.  He's gonna need some time to develop.  Don't expect much from him this season.

I just sent in my Draft Report...I expect Dave will post it first thing this morning. I tried to break down a lot of the top prospects for Miami's 1st, 3rd and 4th rd picks. I am half asleep at this point though, so I might have written a 9 page armadillo chili recipe...it's hard to say.

I am "hoping" to see Winston Justice slide...I think it is a possibility. If I were dropping a dollar on a guess who Nick will actually take, I'd drop my dollar on CB Tye Hill. I think Nick rates him higher than Jimmy Wiliams at this point.

I'm going with S Michael Huff of Texas

Filed under the heading of "Only in Coach Saban's wet dreams"

Huff goes top-10 with a bullet...

I tottally agree, the more I think about it the more I like it....

I'd actually wouldn't mind doing 2 smaller trade downs (not out of the first round)
IE from 16 to 18-21 range, then another one into the 22-29 range.

Hill is 5'9" and 186 lbs.  Williams is 6'2" and 213 lbs and is almost as fast.  Saban likes bigger DB's, which is why I predicted Huff.  If Huff is gone and Williams and Hill are still there, Saban takes Williams.

Since no one else has I'll go with a QB ... either Cutler or Young. I don't really think this will happen and don't necessarily want it to happen but this way I get to claim that I predicted it!! I would run around naked if we get Justice or Huff, but only time will tell. There certainly are no guarantees especially when the Texans pre-sign Mario Williams ... WTF were they thinking?!

Huff gone at #7 to Oakland...

I think Saban likes "better" DB's, which is why I went with Hill. I think the difference in speed, both straight line and reactionary, takes it out of the "almost" area between them. I think Jimmy Williams will be a solid corner...I think Hill will be a couple of notches better.
