In case you didn't know, I hate Joe Theisman.

He sucks as a broadcaster, and now, his recent comments about Ricky Williams piss me off more than ever.  People need to realize, it's just weed.  ...even if he has a problem, it doesn't make him a bad person or a threat to society.  Theisman talks about him like he's a serial rapist.  "Don't ever use my name in the same sentence with Ricky Williams when it comes to football."

Theisman doesn't seem to have problem with Dexter Manley, who helped him win a few Super Bowls.

I hate you, Joe Theisman.  You are an arrogant asshole, but unlike other arrogant assholes in the business, you suck at what you do.

It doesn't matter if its weed, crack, heroine, or flintstones vitamins, if its against the policy, its wrong.

The "Its just weed" defense doesn't fly with me because (a) weed is against federal law (regardless of how harmless YOU think it is) and (b) it is against his employer's policy.

Why do you continue to defend him?

I'm not saying what he did was right.  Even though I think smoking is not a big deal, if you signed a contract saying that you won't, then you shouldn't violate it.

I do defend Ricky against those that say he is a scumbag for the simple fact that he smokes pot.  He made some bad choices, but they are personal choices.

Certainly, you must understand, Brian, that all things that are against law/policy are not equal.  Ricky smoking pot (in my opinion) is much less of threat to the league than someone like Randy McMichael beating up his wife.  But nobody seems to really care about those things.

My big problem here is Joe Thiesman casting stones at Ricky, when it's just not his place.  He talked about him like he's an absolute abomination of a human being and a disgrace to the league.

I hate Joe Theisman so much, that I'm considering boycotting MNF.  Seriously.  I can't understand how he's got the most important job in all of football broadcasting, when he's the worst "talent" in the business.

Ok,I'm not wild on Joe Thiesman,I rank him right up there with Sean Salsbury...Loud mouth Dumb F*ck,who will say this is the Best RB/WR/QB/DL/LB/Saftey in the league one week, then the next week. They say the same thing about what other big game they've been slated to do...I think it's All the ESPN guy's do it...It's just Joe thiesman talking out his ass again, when someone sticks a microphone in front of his face....

I have a hard time believing that It's just because he smokes pot,It's that he quit on his team, because he'd rather smoke pot.

If us "haters" hated people that smoked pot...Why is it that Stroke is one the most liked guy's here? Ummm I've heard,it rumored, that he pertakes in a little smokage occasionally....

Â    It doesn't matter whether anybody thinks Theisman is right or wrong.  The one thing we all can agree on is the fact that Theisman just needs to shut his ignorant mouth.

Â You know, Joe Theisman is one of those small little pieces of shit in your toilet.  No matter how many times you flush the toilet, that little piece of shit just keeps creeping back into your toilet.  Theisman will stay quiet for awhile, then all of the sudden he comes out with something when you least expect it.

I hate Joe Theisman too, but mostly because he's a bumbling moron.

I agree that public castration may be a tad harsh, but the point he's trying to make is that Ricky doesn't deserve to be in the position he's in, if he can't keep his nose clean.

I think Joe blow is scheduled to appear on O.J Mcduffie's show on thursday. I'm sure juice will take him to task on these remarks. I cant wait for this interview.

SO TRUE!!!

The difference between Joe and Dennis Miller is that Miller realized he didn't know jack about football.... and had a big and irrelevant vocabulary.

MNF is not the "big game" anymore. The Sunday Night Game now is.

I think Joe should kep his mouth shut though. No need to talk down about someone just to get ratings. As a fan of the Dolphins, I have a right to hate said RB for what I feel he did (notice I said what I FEEL he did, which is walking out on the team). However, Joe is just doing it to keep his name in the public spotlight, which is wrong.

My favorite Joe Theismann moment:

Getting his leg broken in two by Lawrence Taylor (and not the bottom half, the thigh part of his leg broken in half).

I have to say that was a thrill.

Here's the problem with this...

People aren't going to stop watching MNF just because some TV exec says "its not the big game anymore"

the Sports bars will still be packed on Monday nights from September thru December.  The same number of people will watch SNF as they did before.  The only difference is in scheduling, and wht team are playing but even when the Texans play the Browns on MNF, I'll watch.

So I ask you - does it matter which game the TV execs deem "the big game?"

I agree. It's still a big game to me.  My own little hijack:  How much does it suck that ESPN lost the rights to a Sunday night highlights show?  No more "Primetime".  NBC has gained those rights, apparently.   Sad
