Rides around shouldn't be a problem. This is a very generous and out going bunch.

OK guys, here's the deal.....

My flight is going to cost me around $900 SO I'm thinking that if I'm doing this I want to make it worthwhile.

What my plan is currently is, to travel out arounf the 10th, go to the KC game, spend a week in Miami, Tailgate with you guys and see the Vikes game, then travel home two days later.

What I need to know is:

Is there stuff to keep me amused during the week bearing in mind I might be on my own.
Can you recommend a hotel which is suitable location bearing in mind I will not be hiring a car.

Other questions as i think of them

Cheers.
There's all kinds of stuff to do, but I'd recommend renting a car, since in south florida, alot of the "stuff to do" is spread out.  There's beaches, there's some attractions, we can easily kill a week for you depending on what you're into.

As for hotel, the Rennaissance Hotel is popular for others that come to town for games, and its the team hotel on game day.  There are cheaper places out on the beach, though, closer to "stuff to do".

If you decide you wanna do this, we can collectively as a group set up an itinerary for you...

Seeing as he is coming from the cold and chilly confines of Great Britan, let's put together something Miami-ish for him.

A day on the beach...... followed by great Cuban cuisine and a couple of rum runners, mojitos, or sangria (Miami's signature drinks)

I have an orange parking pass and that gets you about 2 zip codes closer to the stadium from where you guys parked last time. Of course there are many cash lots that are closer as well!  Grin Orange passes are pretty easy to get.

Lil B ... if it is easier for you to fly in and out of Orlando we can work something out as I go down every weekend.  You can stay at my house for a night or two to make things work... as long as the chain saw noise and the hanging meat doesn't bother you!  Wink

I like the sound of this, if I'm going to do this thing it may not happen again for a while so I may as well do it right....

I'm struggling to find any sort of links to the hotel you name though, I can't find one called specifically that name, even if I spell the name differently, any one help me out?

Thanks CF...My thinking orginally was to fly into Orlando, see my family in Orlando, then fly down to Mami like the day before the game. It's like $441 to fly from here to Orlando. That's how I found flying into St. Pete for $248....

Right now I'm just keeping Tabs on what's available, making sure I can get these flights...as soon as my funding comes in,My options open up immensely....So I'm not goona say for sure if I'm gonna make it or not...

The team hotel is going to be around $219 a night during that weekend.

Some folks could park in the orange lot and others in the cash lot, but it would still make sense to put the tailgate in the orange so you are closer to the stadium IMO.

Sorry mcduff about the canceled event, but the interest wasn't getting to the level I wanted fast enough.  Oddly enough, the Bills game event is on fire and was sold out until a few minutes ago when I acquired 5 more tickets.  I thought the Vikes would be the one, but a lot of people had issues with it being too close to Thanksgiving.  I still haven't completely ruled out something for the Vikes game and have held on to all my tix.  I'll definitely see you guys then because I'm going to the game no matter what!  Can't wait to see Culpep get revenge!
