I think I just choked on my Mt. Dew. Did something change in the 2 months I was off the board where Denver can actually say something about the Dolphins without being negative. Holy shit someone pinch me quick....I might still be sleeping. Just fucking with you bro.... Grin

If Fergott can make Chambers a Pro Bowler I can not wait to see how he and C-Pep work together. I agree it could be a big year for Booker as well.

Agreed.... and I think Hagan takes the third receiver spot.  After watching tapes of him at AZ State, he reminds me of guys like Anquan Boldin or Oronde Gadsden...... a guy who isn't the biggest or the fastest but will make plays.  His "dropsies" happened only at the Senior Bowl and the Scouting Combine and is something that can be worked on.

Hagan is not the biggest...but he is far from short either. 6'1 if I recall. The kid can play and will be out #3...maybe even #2 in time.

Marcus Vick needs to have a lights out training camp and preseason if he wants to make the team.  Otherwise he'll be practice squad.  I also think Frank Murphy will be practice squad as well.  I can't see Welker getting cut, no way, no how!

The guy made huge plays on critical third downs last year, and he's still a great KR/PR, I think the blocking on special teams could've been better or he would've broken more plays.  Also this guy can kick, (in case you forgot) if Mare goes down in a game, we can use Welker instead of having to rely on Donnie Jones to kick a field goal.  Welker is definitely football's version of the "utility man."

All in all the top three receivers from last year will be the same, I think that the four and five spots you'll see a lot of swapping out of guys.  Campbell, Hagan, and Aromashodu will see lots of time in those spots.

I know we've been over this, but I just cacn't understand cutting a guy like Welker.  The fans love him, and he makes plays.  This team has seen so much wasted potential, that it's important to have an overachieving, character guy to send a message to guys that production gets there over potential.

I don't  see how Kelly Campbell does not make the team. He is pretty good.
Why was he out of football last year?

You're right, but it's been almost five months since his last incident.

What kind of world do we live in if staying out of trouble for less than a year is a good thing?

Campbell just ook the year off I believe.  Not 100% on that one though.  I like his potential as a WR and a returner.

The first thing we need to recognize IMO is that the article that started this thread is from a fan site.  So, their opinion is no different than ours and there is a chance the writer didn't attend camp.

Aromadoshu has a bad case of the dropsies.  I think the weak links are him and Frank Murphy.  Marcus Vick not included because I can't rate him because of my bias.  Nothing would  please me more than to see his ass sent packing (luggage, not another piece).

Thanks Phish. He is a piece of shit thug and most likely always will be. 5 months is not shit he is bound to find himself back in trouble soon. I am sure there are periods between his crimes that were longer than 5 months. I hope he gets his walking papers!!!!!

Aromadoshu has a bad case of the dropsies.

Can somebody say bullshit?

Quote from: NFL.com Prospect Profiles
Strong Points: Aromashodu is a tall receiver with the exposiveness, playing speed and hands to get deep and make big plays. He is an aggressive runner with the ball. He has an explosive burst through cracks, keeps his feet against hard hits, runs through arm tackles and gains yards after contact. He is not only a good runner after the catch, but also is a dangerous return man. He will go across the middle and make the tough catch consistently; he takes the hard hit and holds onto the ball. He has the hands to adjust and make tough catches consistently. He makes the over-the-shoulder catch down the field surprisingly well. He is a good blocker who consistently gets after his man and eliminates him from the play.

Weaknesses: Despite being a good athlete, Aromashodu doesn't have much sharpness in his short/medium routes. He does not get out of his cuts sharply and does not consistently get separation. He has little experience against the jam and needs to improve his hand use and side-to-side shake to release against the jam better. Even though he has very good size for a receiver, he does not use his body well to shield the defender from the pass. More than anything, he is somewhat of a one-dimensional receiver who is very good at stretching the field and making big plays deep, but is not a consistently good all-around receiver due to his choppy short and medium routes.

Hands (Grade: 6.0/8.0): He has good hands to pluck ball away from his body. He caught 83 percent of the passes thrown his way.

He had a final grade of I5.9, which basically means he rates as a career backup and special teams player, but a very good one. Also, I'm disappointed in your Wanny mentality, I would have thought the, "Hey, let's appease everybody" attitude would have gone away when the Disaster Season struck. If you think for a second Saban won't pull a Gunny Hartman ("My orders are to weed out all non-hackers who do not pack the gear to serve with my beloved Fins") if Aromatherapy is better than Welker, then I want to know where you keep your stash.

I think Aroshmondu ends up on the practice squad while Murphy ends up on the unemployment line...

I agree.

First of all, BOOKER will be making a ton of money next year, and may very well become a "cap" casualty. So, even if we DO have a glut of talented, young WRs, I think you'll see Coach SABAN move heaven and earth to keep as many as possible...including 6 WR roster spots.

At PRESENT, we have CHAMBERS, BOOKER and WES as WRs who did well last season with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb at QB. To that, add HAGEN, who's a quicker and faster GADSEN. AROMADASHU is a 6'3", 210 lb burner. CAMPBELL's also really fast, and played with DAUNTE in 2004 in MINNESOTA--so he's a familiar face and a known quantity for CULPEPPER. For that alone, he stays, as does AROMADASHU---somewhere.

We had a few WRs on the PS who showed promise. It's time for them to "fish or cut bait". If 1 or 2 emerge, they stay.

MURPHY seems to have "the tools" and experience. I just don't know enough about him. If he shows up in preseason, he stays: if not, he goes.

That makes 9 in all. With 6 WR Roster spots and 2 PS squad spots, MIAMI could keep everyone--or just about everyone. That way, STs won't suffer, and if BOOKER isn't around next season because of his "cap" number or whatever, MIAMI won't be desperate, and may not even feel the pain.
