AFC Championship Game--who's your QB?

I would take Brian Griese.

It's tough to blame Marino for a lack of a running game. The line could not run block and there was little talent at RB. The offense was designed as a pass first offense. In that situation you cannot blame a QB for passing.

I would add the lack of a defense as well.  Dan put up some pretty good numbers in a lot of losing games.

phinatics.com: It's the Super Bowl and you need a touchdown. Your team is on the 10 yard line with one timeout and one minute to go in the game.  Would you take Unitas, Griese, or Marino?  Who do you pick and why?
Don Shula: That's just such a tough question because all of them have been great.  Unitas invented the 2 minute drill, Griese knew how to get the football into the endzone, and nobody did it better than Dan Marino.  So, there's no easy answer to that.

For me, it would be Marino.  With that kind of talent around him he would get his ring.  Griese has 2 already .

Marino, No doubt in my mind. He never had a running game period. It's not like he had one and chose not to use it. His offensive line was never built to run block and he never had any worthy RB's or a defense for that matter. You take the 84 team add our defense from a couple of seasons ago and the good Ricky Williams and there was no way Marino does not have a ring. You put Marino in a Cowboys uniform in the early 90's....he has a ring or 4. He needed a complete team and never had it you can not fault Dan for that in my opinion. Marino was a better QB and I would take him in any AFC Championship game over anyone. Just my 2 cents!!!!!

Marino no question. I don't think there is any doubt in anyone's mind that if the Dolphins in his day had half the defensive support Griese had he'd be sporting some rings.
